TEMPLATE 2 FOR PRODUCERS

PRODUCER DATA SECTION ABOVE THIS ONE.The below guidelines are for use in contacting direct producers of product in your country :GUIDELINESFOR GRW ARRANGEMENTS WITH DIRECT PRODUCERS, MANUFACTURERS AND MINERS ,ETC THE ESSENTIAL PART IS THAT THE PARTY YOU ARE DISCUSSING ARRANGEMENTS FOR GRW TO SELL THEIR PRODUCT VIA OUR WORLD WIDE GRW AGENCY NETWORK AND OUR 60 YEARS OF BUYERS INTERESTED IN GRW OFFERED PRODUCTS IS THAT THE SELLER IS DIRECT PRODUCER OF THE PRODUCT. THINGS WE NEED TO KNOW FROM THE DIRECT PRODUCER ARE: 1. FULL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE PRODUCTS THEY HAVE FOR SALE.THEY MAY HAVE DIFFERENT STYLES OR SPECIFICATIONS SO WE WOULD NEED TO HAVE THESE TO PROPERLY PROMOTE THE PRODUCT.2. EMAIL ATTACHMENTS OF LITERATURE, DATA ON THE PRODUCT IF AVAILABLE.3. QUANTITY OF THE PRODUCT AVAILABLE ON A MONTHLY BASIS FOR EXPORT4. THE TYPES OF PACKING : EXAMPLE: IF CEMENT, BULK, 50 KG BAGS, OR ?, AND IF VEGETABLE OILS, IN LITER BOTTLES, CASES, CONTAINERS, ETC.. IF ORES, IN BULK BREAK OR CONTAINERS, ETC.5. SPECIAL GOOD PRICING FOR GRW ON FOB ORIGIN PORT BASIS IN USD. REMEMBER FOR GRW TO GIVE A COMPETITIVE PRICE TO OUR BUYERS, WE NEED THEIR NORMAL PRICE PLUS SOME DISCOUNT . THIS IS THE MOST DESIRABLE WAY, BUT IF NOT, THEN WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR OVERAGE WHERE THE PRICE IS COMPETITIVE. 3. THERE MAY BE TIMES THE BUYERS MAY WANT TO COME TO THE FACTORY AND WITH OUR GRW AGENCY IN THE COUNTRY THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING WE WOULD WANT OUR AGENCY TO BE THERE WITH THE BUYERS IF THIS HAPPENS. WE WOULD NEED TO KNOW IF THE PRODUCERS WOULD ENTERTAIN VISITS FROM THE BUYERS. WE WOULD ASK ICPO OR LOI WITH THEIR BANK DATA FIRST BEFORE SUCH VISIT IF THEY REQUEST SUCH A VISIT. 4. MANY BUYERS ASK FOR PROOF OF PRODUCT.WE WOULD NEED YOU TO ASK THE PRODUCER HOW HE WOULD GIVE THE PROOF OF PRODUCT.IN WHAT FORMAT WOULD POP BE GIVEN FOR OUR BUYERS?ALSO SOMETIMES THE BUYERS ASK FOR OLD BILL OF LADINGS (SANITIZED IS OK) AND OLD SGS (SANITIZED IS OK) TO SHOW PREVIOUS SHIPMENTS. WE PREFER THE OLD SGS AND BILL OF LADINGS TO BE NOT OVER SIX MONTHS OLD. 5. CONTRACTS:THE BUYERS WOULD WANT TO SEE A SAMPLE DRAFT OF THE PRODUCERS SALES CONTRACT. MOST PRODUCERS HAVE SUCH AND WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE A DRAFT COPY OF IT. THERE ARE SOME PRODUCERS WHO WORK OFF PROFORMA INVOICE ONLY, BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO GET THEM TO AGREE TO DO A SALES CONTRACT AND TO PROVIDE US A COPY OF SUCH. 6. PEFORMANCE BONDIT IS IMPORTANT TO ASK THE PRODUCERS IF THEY WILL SUPPLY A 2 % PERFORMANCE BOND ON THE FOB VALUE OF THE PRODUCT WHICH IS STANDARD IN THE EXPORT WORLD.. IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW IF THEY USE THEIR BANK TO ISSUE THE PB OR SOME OTHER ENTITY 7. SGS OR OTHERPLEASE ASK THEM WHICH INSPECTION COMPANY THEY USE AND CONFIRM THEY PAY THE SGS REPORT FROM LOADING PORT WHICH IS STANDARD IN THE INDUSTRY. 8. FREIGHTYOU CAN ASK THE PRODUCER IF THEY HAVE A CERTAIN FREIGHT FORWARDER THAT YOU AS THE GRW AGENCY CAN SPEAK TO IN ORDER TO GET FREIGHT RATES SO WE CAN QUOTE CFR PRICES ON THE GOODS TO THE BUYERS DESTINATION PORT. THEN EVERY TIME WE GET A REQUEST FOR QUOTE, YOU AS THE AGENCY CAN CALL THE FREIGHT FORWARDER TO GET A QUOTE INSTEAD OF BOTHERING THE PRODUCER FOR SUCH ALL THE TIME. 9. CIFPLEASE ASK THE PRODUCER IF THEY DO CIF QUOTES, WHICH MEANS THE COST OF GOODS, INSURANCE AND FREIGHT. If you are speaking to a direct producer ( no traders ) in your country for a product we want to promote or have immediate need for it, then the below are questions that should be presented to the producer.YOU WILL NOTICE SOME OF THE THINGS BELOW ARE REDUNDANT, BUT NEVERTHELESS STILL IMPORTANT.1. If we have specific inquiry we will say a client request, but if it is a general inquiry , we would be asking so we can promote the product to our client base and via our GRW agencies.2. Does the producer provide a two percent performance bond against their receipt of a at sight letter of credit.3. Does the producer provide a SGS report at loading included in the producer cost fob for the product4. Quantity minimum and maximum for the product that they can ship5. Payment instrument: Is a non transferable at sight LC ok6. What are the options for the bagging of the product..7. What port do they load out of8. Do they give CIF quotes to client destination when we provide said destination.. CIF; (cost, insurance, freight).9. Can we get a photo of the product.10. What kind of time frame to deliver to port and load on vessel from time producer receives the non transferable LC...11. Can we see a copy of their sales contract that they use for the product. If they say WHY, the answer is for having it handy as we are actively promoting the product via our worldwide GRW agency network and our 50 year client base.12. Do they have a certain LC wording that they like used for payment and if yes, may we see a copy of it. 13. KEEP IN MIND THAT GRW WILL NEED THE WORDS "IN CONJUNCTION WITH GRW an ETHOS ENTITY CO AND OUR WEBSITE ADDRESS AT THE TOP OF THE FIRST PAGE OF SAID CONTRACT IF THE LC IS GOING TO THE DIRECT PRODUCER SHIPPER. 14. GRW WILL ALSO NEED A COPY OF ANY COMMISSION AGREEMENT YOU HAVE WITH THE DIRECT PRODUCER / EXPORTER.WITH ALL OF THE ABOVE COMPLETED, THEN IT IS UP TO THE GRW AGENCY TO MAINTAIN CLOSE CONTACT WITH THE PRODUCER ON A REGULAR BASIS TO KEEP UP THE GOOD RELATIONS. IF THE PRODUCER SAYS WE HAVE CLIENTS ALL OVER WORLD AND WHAT ADVANTAGE IS IT FOR US TO SELL THRU GRW OUR PRODUCTS, THEN YOUR ANSWER WOULD BE: (BELOW IS KEY POINTS WHEN APPROACHING A PRODUCER ON WORKING WITH GRW):GRW HAS BEEN IN THE EXPORT AND FINANCE TRADE FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND NOT ONLY DO WE HAVE GRW AGENCIES ALL OVER WORLD WHICH ARE OUR EYES AND EARS IN EACH COUNTRY PROMOTING GRW PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, WE HAVE A DATA BASE WHICH IS GROWING OF BUYERS WORLDWIDE.
